Hanuman Jayanti Celebration in Nagpur

Festivals bring with it a new life. Nagpur is a city, which has a belief in Hanuman Jayanti. Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated every year by the people in India to commemorate the birth of Hindu Lord, Hanuman. The Day celebrated on 15th day of Shukla Paksha in the month of Chaitra. This Year Hanuman Jayanti falls on 31st March 2018. Lord Hanuman is a symbol of strength, force and believes to be a devotee of Lord Ram. According to mythology before his birth, it was predicted that Lord Hanuman would be the devotee of Lord Ram.

Lord Hanuman is believed to have magical powers which he conquers the evil spirit. On Hanuman Jayanti, the devotee visits temple & apply tilaka of sindoor to their foreheads. According to legend, when Lord Hanuman found Sita applying sindoor to her forehead, he questioned her & she replied that doing so would ensure a long life for her husband, Lord Ram. Lord Hanuman then smears sindoor to his entire body.

Tekdi Road Hanuman Mandir conducted a program of bhajans & chhapan bhog is offered to Lord Hanuman on this occasions. People celebrate Hanuman Jayanti with full of joy.
